| Description: | This drawing is the second of the three studies of the 'Barberini Faun' that Wright made whilst in Rome in 1775 (see DBYMU 1914-517/22A and DBYMU 1914-517/32). The original sculpture is now at the Glyptothek in Munich. There is some debate over whether it is an Hellensitic sculpture or a Roman copy. [LB: 2024] |
