Description:Depicts a captive Amazon from the far right of a long low frieze on the side of the lid of a sarcophagus depicting a battle between Amazons and possibly Greeks. Capitoline 'Amazon Sarcophagus' (early C2nd A D). Sarcophagus theme is the Amazon invasion of Attica and shows fighting groups and captives. One of two studies made by Wright of this sarcophagus: see also DBYMU 1914-517/50.
