Study of a man, head and shoulders only, facing left. His hair or wig is curled and hangs loose around his face and shoulders. He wears a neckcloth with a stripe through it and a fringe. Made by Joseph Wright of Derby (1734 - 1797). Black and white chalk on blue paper, in cream window mount.
