It may be understood as follows: '1776' (current date); '1751' (year of joining Hudson); '25 (years since joining Hudson); '17' (age on joining Hudson); '42' (current age).
Inscriptions:'1776 / 1751 / -- 25 / 17/ -- / 42' (laid out as a mathematical calculation) and 'BR 15' in a different hand.
