Study of a Lady, Full-length Holding a Basket of Flowers. Black and white chalk on blue paper. Christie's felt this drawing was close to an Allan Ramsay composition, although the posy basket appears more often as a Hudson studio motif, for example the portrait of the Thistlethwayte Family, c1757-8. Wright used this motif in his portrait of Elizabeth Carver, 1760 and Rebecca Cracroft, 1760.
